The News

I am what could be termed a conservative in today’s lingo. The problem with name tagging is that we are all individuals and subject to exactly the same problems. Terms that are popular oft times are like “flaming blankets” thrown over a crowd of people of which those who throw the blanket do not care for. Some might consider this, “flaming blanket,” a thing produced by those with shallow though process’. I am one who considers all of us, to the last reprobate, as human beings and titles other than proper names to be the work of the “Eternal Jokester.” You know who the, “Eternal Jokester,” is right? The one who causes us to slip and fall off the cliff of morality? He has a lot of names but they all are idioms of deceit.

It was during the 1990s, late, that FOX news came to be in our area. What we had as far as cable news was CNN. That was before the time of some who read this but so was Vietnam. I knew both first hand but Vietnam was before cable or computers. I actually learned cursive in third grade and algebra by eighth grade. Yeah, different times. Black and white TV brought to us through the courtesy of an antennae on the roof. Really different times!

I do like politics though and politics is the reason I began watching FOX as when FOX came on line I was able to compare CNN to it. You have to be aware that the first president I knew was Harry Truman, then Eisenhower, then Kennedy. I saw all of them in black and white on the news before cable and computers. Once color, cable, and computers came to be I got to see all in “living” color. Reagan, Clinton, Bush (W), and Obama. This was the line of demarcation when I began to understand that we were being lied to by one of the cable channels. It wasn’t FOX. It still isn’t FOX.

Conservative? Me? Nah, the way I think is me. The way I do things is me. In the end, which I am rapidly approaching, it has always been just me. I am not proud of me as I know myself too well. I know what I have done and, worse, what I did not do that I should have done. If it sounds familiar it is also you. That is where I fall on the subject of politics. It is about history and how we perceive it. Taught perceptions can be lies if we do not separate what we believe that is difficult but, instead, take the word of others, the easy way out.

I wish you peace and goodness in all you perceive and do.
